世界顶级大学，美国哈佛大学（Harvard University），前一段时间新增设了一个硕士项目——Master of Science in Data Science，2018年秋为第一届招生。
The Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the launch of a new Master of Science (SM) degree in Data Science.
课程设置
项目是由Computer Science 和 Statistics 以及 the Institute for Applied Computational Science 联合授课，开设在哈佛的 Arts and Sciences 学院下。学生需要在3个学期内完成12门课，具体课程列表如下：

申请要求：
▷ 背景要求：不限专业背景，但希望申请者有微积分、线性代数、概率和统计、熟练掌握至少一种编程语言（如Python或R）的背景。
▷ 材料要求：成绩单、学位证毕业证或在读证明等学术材料；GRE（general）；TOEFL（本科非英语授课）；个人陈述；3封推荐信；简历。

毕达学子（纽约大学-DS在读）：关于选校，我觉得以提升个人实力为主，毕竟DS这样的技术类专业，找工作基本都有code test，企业发几道题给你做一下就知道水平了，还有很多在现场面试的时候，会有一两个人看着你的屏幕让你现场做半个或一个小时的编程题，所以有没有水平一般假不了。建议大家还是要先了解课程配置和课程内容，选择对自己最合适的。
最后推荐一本书，《Data Science for Business》，作者是NYU的一个教授。如果有同学日后来读NYU DS这个专业，这个书也将是一门必修课的必读书，这个书可以让大家初步了解一下Data Science的基本概念，看看自己是不是真的感兴趣里面的内容。
